Use OSMO wood maintenance products or as advised by Art Doors.
We supply sufficient protection for your door to be installed and exposed to normal wear and tear for 12 months in an exterior situation. Thereafter, refresh the Door with a wipe over before the summer and if exposed to salt-spray and wind driven sand and dust, then repeat every 6 months using OSMO clear oil wood finish on a clean lint free soft cloth. Internally, depending on direct sun and heating, we strongly recommend they be given a clean and nourish every year with OSMO liquid wax cleaner. (Our doors are so tactile they are a pleasure to polish.) Critical areas to protect on any timber exterior door are the top and bottom tenon joints. We seal these prior to shipping but it is possible that they are damaged or trimmed and then inadequately sealed on site. Left unattended this could void your warranty. |
