Are our doors suitable for exterior situations?

Yes, we make solid timber Art Doors that are purpose built for sheltered-semi exposed exterior installation.  There are many mitigating factors  however so one answer is not possible.  To be accurate we need to know details regards orientation to sun and weather, degree of shelter, climate etc.

Do we supply frames ready to fit the Art Doors?

Yes matching frames can be ordered in custom configurations to suit.  They are generally 'pre-hung with hinges to suit and then dismantled and shipped as a Kit or the door is mounted in the frame and the two are shipped as one piece.  Accurate measurements from the job site are preferred to plan based specifications when supplying pre-hung units.

How long from order to delivery?

Depends on specifications:  size, timber preferred, level of complexity, etc.  It is best to allow a minimum of 8 weeks from receipt of 50% deposit until completion.

Can you ship overseas?

Yes we have and with excellent outcomes providing suitable lead-times and conditions are adhered to.

When is the best time in the building process to place and order for an Art Door?

How do you rate your sustainability factor?

See page on Provenance / sustainability.  We don't import timber, using only New Zealand grown plantation species or salvaged, recovered, recycled native timbers.  We believe in investing in the training and mentoring of our young people, all our shavings, sawdust etc is composted and we use Osmo organic timber finishing products exclusively for door protection and maintenance.

Do you only make solid timber doors?

What does a standard size Art Door cost approximately?

Depends on complexity and materials etc, etc.  As a rough guide only – featured side area multiplied by $2000 per m2.  Eg. From US$4,000 + tax + freight upwards. Contact us for an indicative price prior to a quote.
